I was like, really bored so I started to randomly type. xD

Preface

Life that I thought was true, never seemed possible to me. Until that month happened in my life. This would be the story told by a smart 14 year old girl, her 14 year old friends, and her secret life. This is the story in which life will be revealed to the world and nothing can stop me from telling my story with the time period of a month. I warn you, there will be death, life, and many other things happening in this strange story of mine. But then again, there might be something worth reading with my stories. Maybe a story worth telling for once. I’m Lillian Carter, daughter of the game designer in the big city of San Diego, California. Yeah, I’m one of those “Cail Girls” you’re always hearing about. In my city, yes I like to think of it as my city because I’m a popular girl at school, I rule the waves and the flow of everything. Even if I am a freshman, I still have a bunch of friends who think I’m the coolest. But I’m sitting here blabbering on about how cool I think I am when I should be starting off with February 1st. You know, the first day of the leap year of 2006? Whatever. I’ll start telling you like the good little girl I am.

But then again, I should tell you about the peeps in the story here. I have mostly freshmen as friends, but I have at least one sophomore and a junior. All of them but one are gals. Cali Girls, like me. But then, all girls that live in California are Cali Girls. I’ll start with my BFF. Jillian Smith, or Jill for short. She’s been my best friend since kindergarten. And like all best friends do, we fight a lot. But it’s to keep our friendship a healthy one. She had long brown hair, straight. And she has these amazingly cute teal eyes. She also has these dark freckles across her nose, they look like splotches, like she’s been taking a brown marker to her pale skin.

Next is my friend whom I’ve known since like, 2nd grade. Krissy Parker. Krissy was such a pest. This chick was always up in your business, whatever it was. She was always asking the same thing, “What’cha doing for lunch tomorrow?” God, I was so sick of that sophomore. I can’t wait till she graduates in two years. She had this long wavy blond hair that reached her waist. Her eyes where this gorgeous brown and she had this creepy smile on all the time. Even the beauty mark on her left cheek freaked me out. Krissy had friends she hung out with other than me and Jill. But, whatever, like I cared.

Then there was my junior friend, Alana Marson. Alana had red hair that was curly, very curly at that. I’ve known her since 7th grade, so we don’t know much about another other than that we both like vanilla ice cream with peanuts in it with chocolate syrup drizzled on top. Her dark, almost cocoa like, eyes always hypnotized me when she smiled at me with her ruby red lips.

I guess I only have a friend in each “class” of High School.

But on with the real story now. I hope that this time I can actually tell the whole thing instead of bugging off without you. This time it will be real, so real you can’t deny my hurt and pain.

Chapter One
What To Choose

The phone on my bedside table rang in my ear at 3 AM, February 1st, 2006. I groaned, turning over to look at my clock and tumbled out of bed, pulling the phone down with me to the wooden floor of my bedroom. I groaned again and answered the phone. “Hello?” I asked tiredly, rubbing my eyes with my free hand. No answer. Only a buzzing sound was in my ear, like the phone did when it was off the hook without a caller. I sighed and hung it up, crawling up the side of my bed to get to it. The phone rang again. I groaned and answered. “Hello?” I repeated, only less tiredly. Same thing. I rolled my eyes and slammed it on the receiver, only to have my mother rushing into the room from across the hall. “Mother?” I asked, astonished she came in.

She sighed with relief. “Who was on the phone? I heard it ring twice,” she said closing her eyes and placing a hand on her chest, over her heart.

“Nothing,” I replied, glancing at the phone.

“Ok…I’ll get your father calm, he almost had a heart attack.”

I nodded, not replying and laying my head on my pillow. A sigh escaped my mouth as I reached for one of my most prized stuffed animals. It was a small Coka-Cola penguin I had received when I was 4 for my birthday from my grandfather, mother’s side. He had a small red satin bow, a red and white Santa hat which said Coka-Cola on it. I smiled as I found him and I snuggled him up to my chest.

The phone rang, again. I hesitated to pick it up. It continued to ring until it stopped. I figured mom had picked it up. I could hear her muffled voice and a “Yes sir, I’ll tell her.” I rolled my eyes, my smile gone. Must be a teacher, they were always picky about my grades. They where always slipping down a letter once every quarter. Mother came rushing back in when I heard a click, telling me the phone went on hold. “Yes?” I moaned to her, turning on my back.

“Someone just called for you,” she said, her blue gaze glaring at me, “About something I can’t hear about apparently.”

“Wha-?” I asked, picking up the phone. “Did you leave it off the hook?” She nodded and leaned against the doorway. I sighed and said, “Hello?”

“Hello, Lillian Carter,” a male voice said in my ear, “I’m just calling to let you know, you’re life is about to be changed forever. Weather you like it or not, things are going to be different for you and your family. And your friends.”

I hesitated to answer, and then the line went dead and I hung up. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out of it. My mother walked over to me, and bent down, hugging me tightly. “It’s all right, dear…” she whispered in my ear. I nodded once as she let go of me and smiled weakly. “Good night. And don’t forget you have school tomorrow,” she reminded me, walking out of my room. I jumped out of bed and rushed to my computer. I was awake, might as well just wait for the next two hours. It had transformed to 4 AM now. I grabbed the mouse and moved it over the mouse mat a few times to wake up my ever sleeping beast of a computer. I signed on to my Yahoo! IM and saw my friend Krissy online. I sighed with relief and messaged her. She immediately replied.

Y r u up so erly?

Fone rang

Rlly?

Yep.

Who was it?

Random guy

Who?

Dunno

Comeone. Tell me.

I don’t know his name.

Recognize his voice?

No.

At this time I gave up and messaged her one more time saying ‘no idea’ and turned the computer off. I sighed and walked back to my bed, slumping into it. I pulled the blankets over my head, giggling.

Chapter Two
The Schooling Test

First things first, I have to tell Jill and Alana about the strange call from last night. I quickly found Jill, seeing as we have all our classes together. I rolled my eyes at her newest dress. Shop-a-holic. That’s all she is. This time she was wearing a long pleated navy blue dress with a small design of a moose on it that told me it’s Abercrombie brand. “Jill!” I called out to her, running through the halls to catch up so we could talk.

“Hey there,” she said smiling at me with her now blue coated lips. Did she buy Abercrombie brand lipstick too? I smiled back at her no matter what, as she is my best friend.

“I need to talk to you in private,” I muttered, putting a hand on her shoulder and steering her to an empty classroom, “It’s important.”

“Really now?” she asked, giving me her famous ‘glare & smirk’ look.

“Yes,” I said dryly, “I got this phone call last ni-”

“Ooooh! Who was it from?” she asked eagerly.

“I have no idea. I don’t have Caller ID, and you know that. It was a guy for sure though.”

“Secret admirer!” she said, jumping to conclusions. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

“He said that my life was about to change forever and there is no going back. It will effect my friends, family, every one.”

“Secret admirer.”

“You know what? Forget it.” I mumbled and left the classroom, her being at my heel the whole time. I walked into Algebra with Jill still at my heel. I sighed and took my seat, as she went to the other side of the room, standing out in the crowd of 30.

The class passed quickly, not like it really mattered to me. The class was boring anyway… I mean with all the equations and the solving and whatnot, I’d rather have it cut out of my schedule.

I quickly walk over to art, a fun class which I’d see Krissy in. I spotted her blond hair immediately and she spotted my rusty blond. I was a strawberry blond at heart. She walked over to me and scowled. “Ok, what was going on last night on IM?” she asked stubbornly. At this I rolled my eyes and attempted to retell her. “So you’re saying a random guy-” she coughed, “-secret admirer,” she giggled, “randomly called you at 3 AM telling you that your life and everyone else’s around you are going to change?” she finished. I nodded a few times, glancing at the door of the Art Room. The bell hadn’t rung yet and the door was wide open. I made a move saying that we should get in our seats before the bell. She thrust an arm out to stop me, before I shoved past her, following the other 30 students in. She rolled her eyes and followed me.

We had no assignment today, we had a free period, as the teacher was busy messing with plans for tomorrow. So we just sat and talked for the time. Krissy turned to me. “Please explain exactly what the guy said,” she groaned giving me her famous puppy-dog-begging-look, “Please?”

I sighed and said, “He said exactly, ‘Hello, Lillian Carter. I’m just calling to let you know, you’re life is about to be changed forever. Weather you like it or not, things are going to be different for you and your family. And your friends.’ OK? I’ve told you all I know and heard. Please drop the subject.” I groaned.

She rolled her eyes. “Secret admirer…” she sang, turning to her other friend on her other side. I rolled my own eyes and glanced around the room. A boy with ruffled dark brown hair and deep blue eyes was staring at me. I was pretty sure his name was Miguel Porvator. He smiled at me when my gaze met his. I blinked and glanced away. The bell rang. I quickly stood up and walked to chemistry. We were doing a lab today. It involved an Oreo cookie and our teeth. Pretty simple if you ask me. Everyone had done this in Earth Science in 6th grade, so we already know what accretion is. But we’re doing this for review and fun. I, being oh-so-powerful and mighty against the teacher, got to pass out the cookies to everyone. Each person got exactly one cookie. I reached Migel. He smiled up at me and gladly took the cookie. I was pretty sure he was a freshman like me, so he probably would have heard of me in the halls, me being the oh-so-popular-prissy-girly-girl, which I was not. I was very calm and very non-Shop-a-holic. I quickly moved on to the table behind Miguel and his friend. Or should I say, Jill. I only know Miguel’s name because of Jill. They’ve known each other since 8th grade, so they just met.

But, what ever. Moving on. I reached my seat, farthest away from the teacher and I had two more cookies left. One for me and one for my partner. The grossest, most dumbest, disturbingest, strangest, person you’ll ever meet. Davy Hign. He was on the chubby side, so we didn’t match at all. He had potato chip crumbs all down his white t-shirt, so they stood out easily. I wonder if he’d get his cookie down his shirt too. I didn’t want to find out. So I face the teacher, who said to begin and he told us we didn’t have to turn in anything, just do the lab then eat the cookie. “Just take the cookie apart, by taking the top part off so the cream is on one half. Then put it upside down in your finger tips and slid it into your mouth across your bottom teeth,” Mr. Roman instructed.

I had picked up my cookie, and did as he instructed, quickly eating the whole thing afterwards. Davy had just shoved the whole thing in his mouth without even doing the lab itself. I rolled my eyes and smiled back up at the front of the classroom, when I saw Mr. Roman dig out a bunch of papers. What were they for? I was curious, but I said nothing about him doing this. Apparently Krissy noticed too. She had turned around mouthing out, “What’s he doing?” I shrugged, not knowing myself. So I nodded forward to tell her to look forward. Either he was holding a decent sized siring, or he was holding a giant paperclip made out of clear steel. I felt like I was going to pass out. Either he was going to give us shots, or poke us for blood. I glanced around nervously for something to cling to that was close by, but the only thing was Davy. If I clinged to him, he would think I’d like him. And I mean like, like like like. Like love like. You know what I mean, right? So I clinged to my desk for dear life. He started to walk around the class with it, giving everyone something. I fainted. Black out. Passed out.

I woke up in what seemed like hours in the Office, on a cot, under a blanket and my head on a fluffy pillow. “Wh-where am I?” I asked, blinked several times with Krissy, Alana, and Jill crowding around me.

“Health Office,” the three replied, sounding relived I was awake.

“Thought you were a goner there, Lillian,” Alana said, putting a hand over her chest, “I heard all about it and was called up incase you where hurt and needed a ride home.”

“Th-thanks,” I stammered, sitting up, feeling faint again, “Oh, Krissy, what was Mr. Roman doing?”

“Giving us shots,” she replied, “He did your’s when you passed out though, seeing as he wouldn’t have another chance.”

I fainted again.

“Lillian!” I heard someone screech as my vision faded.
